Chapter 95: Motel
Chapter 95: Motel
Jason waited patiently for Sam to return but he was taking a bit too long.
"Maybe he had to go number two..." Jason thought to himself.
"Gross, he doesn’t even have water to wash his ass... Will he use leaves like the Stone Ages?" Jason didn’t want to think about this but the more he did, the more disgusted he looked.
"Fuck, I hope he doesn’t try to touch me with those hands..." Jason shook the idea from his mind and just then, he felt a hand over his shoulder.
"I’m back," This was Sam’s voice no doubt and Jason’s body stiffened up the moment he felt Sam’s hand on him.
"D-Did you just touch me?" Jason blurted out, he couldn’t believe this was happening because he had just played this same scenario in his head.
It was almost like his thought manifested this and he instantly regretted it.
Jason took a few steps forward and away from Sam to process what had just happened.
He didn’t even look back.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Sam asked Jason; if Jason was overreacting if one put the dangers currently present in this world into retrospect.
This should be the least of their problems and Jason had to take a deep breath to remember the situation that they were in.
He turned around and before he could speak, he saw one of the shortest people he had ever seen in his life standing beside Sam.
Jason cringed and looked up at Sam, Jason had no idea where the girl spawned from.
"Did you adopt her or something?" Jason questioned Sam and Allison clearly took offence to this but she didn’t let it show, she couldn’t let it because she assumed that was the reaction that Jason was looking for.
"This lady here is Allison and she has been trailing us ever since we left the camp," Sam said and the moment he did, Jason began to reach for his gun.
"So she is with them?" Jason asked Sam, Allison drew her gun before Jason could even reach his. She had exceptional drawing speed, or Jason was just too slow.
"Grab it and I will kill you both right now and complete the task that was given to me," Allison said bluntly with a neutral expression.
"I also forgot to mention that she has a temper," Sam joked.
Jason was surprised by how Sam went from a psychotic man who was hungry for blood to a man who was so carefree.
This reminded him of the Sam he met earlier right before Sam’s mask slipped and he revealed his true colors.
Jason was beginning to understand how this could be beneficial because it would make people naturally drop their guard.
"It’s fine Jason, you don’t need to do it," Sam said.
He was painting Jason as the crazy one and himself as calm and collected.
Jason knew the kind of man Sam was but why he needed her help was the question.
Jason aborted the action to grab his gun and wanted to see what Sam planned to do.
He decided to play along because he knew that was exactly what Sam intended for him to do.
"Allison, you too, put down your gun and help us out," Sam said and Allison listened to him.
"You know this area, don’t you?" Sam asked her and Allison nodded.
Sam proceeded to ask her about it in detail as well as tell her where they were headed.
Luckily for them, Allison was cooperative but Sam entertained the possibility that this could potentially be a trap.
She led the way and Sam gave Jason a knowing glance, Jason thought about giving Sam a gun but he had seen how reckless Sam was.
Sam’s actions might seem impulsive but his actions were calculated.
Jason would feel a lot more at ease if he was the one with the gun because this limited the damage Sam could do. But for now, all they needed to do was follow Allison.

Rachel and Clementine were inside, they had successfully infiltrated the camp once again.
"What should we do?" Rachel asked Clementine but Clementine had no answer to this.
"I have no idea but we can’t leave Bella like that even if it means we..." Clementine paused briefly as she looked around.
"We’re going to kill her, aren’t we?" Rachel asked.
"Only if we can’t save her," Clementine responded; she would rather kill Bella than let her suffer whatever it was that the man intended to do.
The zombies were still roaming and this put the ladies on guard.
They knew all it took was one mistake to be doomed but they had the brains to think outside the box and find a solution to this.
They didn’t know what was going on because these zombies looked different and they didn’t remember seeing this many when they were here.
Rachel and Clementine knew they had to split up to cover more ground but also to act as a decoy. This will put their lives in danger but it wasn’t something Bella hasn’t done for them.
One could argue that they owed Bella nothing as she was simply cleaning up her mess.
"We need to stick together, these zombies are a lot different than what we have faced. I don’t know if they have intelligence but they are a lot more dangerous..." Clementine blurted out.
The fight was still ongoing as the people in the camp were barely keeping up.
Rachel nodded in agreement, she couldn’t believe she was here but she needed to get back to her little sister today without fail.
-
Lillian and the two children, Lillian was taking care of them like she would a child.
The baby was fed with formula, there wasn’t any breastmilk for the toddler to suck from.
Lillian had more than enough food but the boy who had supposedly been bitten was opening up to her a lot more.
"Rachel, where are you?" Lillian thought to herself as she snacked on chips.
"Jason too..." She muttered.
The boy walked over to her and held her hand.
"Mama," The boy muttered and Lillian cringed the moment she heard this because she wasn’t interested in motherhood and had never thought about it.
"Don’t ever call me that again," Lillian warned the boy and for the first time, he smiled.
"Mama!" The boy blurted out but Lillian rolled her eyes.
She didn’t know if he was slow or something but she wasn’t going to push it further.
"I will let him have it..." Lillian thought to herself, she was very irritated.
The noise was soon heard outside, it was a group of people arguing among themselves.
Lillian peeked out the window to see a group of teenagers.
They were in uniform, and Lillian instantly knew that the approach of silence was best.
She ducked down the moment she established this and kept quiet, she didn’t know if they planned to crash her or move along.
The chances that this was them passing by were high because the argument was that they had to leave this area.
"MAMA!" The boy exclaimed with a wide creepy smile and Lillian put a finger on her lips to shush him, she hoped that they hadn’t heard them.
"Did you hear that?" A voice asked, Lillian felt her heart drop.
She didn’t want to kill anybody, the thought of taking a life brought back terrible memories.
"It’s probably the voices in your head, you schizophrenic freak!" Another voice responded as they all burst into laughter.
This was what saved Lillian as it made a joke out of a serious situation and that meant that the others hadn’t heard it.
The person who did hear it wasn’t taken seriously, Lillian now needed to guarantee that he wouldn’t speak again, there was something clearly wrong with this boy upstairs and she didn’t have the patience nor skills to cater to such a special child.
She tapped beside her and he rushed to her side, he had become clingy with Lillian but one could say it was because of their age gap.
But something soon happened that she couldn’t have possibly predicted, the boy that had just run beside her decided now would be the best time to do it once again.
"MAMA!!" The boy screamed at the top of his lungs and the voices outside fell silent.
Lillian got so pissed that she thought about smacking the boy across the cheek because his decision had put them all in danger.
If only he had kept his mouth shut but she couldn’t blame him as he wasn’t aware of the threat outside.
"Still think I’m schizophrenic?" The voice asked and they all spread out the moment this happened.
Lillain could hear the footsteps and what made things worse was that the boy screaming startled the sleeping toddler who burst into tears.
The baby screamed at the top of its lungs like it was trying to make the sky fall and Lillian realized there was no escaping it.
